The King's Proposal or the Marriage of Princess Guido, is the tale of an evil King who tries to marry his daughter to an unwanted suitor. When the King's servant Guido is charged with making the marriage happen, the play descends into mistaken identities, forced marriage, forced puppetry, forced cross-dressing, forced songs and swords.
